WHO?  9:6
    Who was to be born?

•       A Child born (humanity) Child (Hb.) Yeled yeh'-led; something born, that is, a lad or offspring:
        - boy, child, fruit, son, young man (one)
•       A Son given (Eternal Deity) see His names
•       One coming to give light in the darkness c.f. 8:21-9:5
•       He would be a great light vs. 2, 11:1-2; John 1:4-14
•       His names reveal his person � GOD coming as Man

• Wonderful Counselor � His ministry,
• Mighty God � His Deity
• Everlasting Father - His Character
• Prince of Peace � His Purpose

•       The Messiah (Christ) The Anointed one was to come through the line of Abraham
        Genesis 12:1-3; Isaac 17:19; and Jacob.; 28:13-14
•       The Messiah � the promised deliverer, Priest and King would come through Judah
        Gen. 49:10; Heb. 7:14; Rev. 5:5;Jesse Isa. 11:1; Ruth 4:18-22; David 2 Sam. 7; Psa. 89:3-4, 35-37;
        Matt. 1:1-16; Luke 3:23-38;Rom. 1:3; and to Israel as a nation Rom. 9:4-13

WHY?  9:7

•     Why promise a special person for centuries to so many different people?
      Deut. 18:15-19 besides all those promises in the first point.
  
•     Why send this special person through Israel. vs. 6-7
      To provide a Saviour, Priest and then a coming King.
•     Why do we need His Government?
      To restore the world.

WHEN?

•     In the Future from Isaiah�s day 732 BC.    i.e. about 700 years.
      Before the birth of Jesus Christ Isaiah wrote the words about the Messiahs birth 7:14; 9:6
•     In the �fullness of Time God sent forth His Son,� Gal. 4-5
•     When the condition of the World was right
•     When the language of the world was right
•     When the alignment of the stars and planets were right
