The Faithful Father must:

1. Give his child leadership � example
2. Give his child his attention
3. Give his child his confidence
4. Give his child his interaction in righteousness
5. Give his child his prime time �work together & play together (teachable moments)

The Faithful Father Is:

1. A Son of God - John 1:12; Hebrews 12:5-11
2. A Priest � Ephesians 6:4
        He prays for his family  James 5:16
        He teaches his family  2 Timothy 3:15; Proverbs 22:6,9; Psalm 119:9-11
        He leads his family in worship  Deut. 6:5-9
   
3. A Lover
        He loves God Deuteronomy  6:4; Matt.22:37;
        He loves his wife  Eph. 5:21-33
        He loves his children  Eph. 6:1-4
        He loves his neighbor  Matt. 22:38-40
   
4. A Discipliner  Prov. 29:15,17 cf. Prov. 3:12; 6:20
        Instruction should precede discipline   Prov. 29:15; II Tim. 3:16,17
        Love should follow   Heb. 12:6; Prov. 23:13; 13:24
        Purpose should control discipline �profit not anger�   Prov. 19:18
   
5. A Provider  1 Tim. 5:8
        He provides for basic needs and prays for them also
        He provides security � results from the other areas
        He provides protection
        He provides spiritual power by prayer and example
   
6. A Good example  1 Tim. 4:12
        He is holy  1 Peter 2:9; 1:14-16
        He is fruitful  Col. 1:9-12
        He is a good and just person  Titus 2:12; Luke 11:11-13
        He is Christ like in all things   1 Tim. 4:12
