PRINCIPLES OF PROSPERITY                                FBC-PC   FBC-PC 9-23-12 and on

Definition: To succeed, to go or carry forward.

A. For Some Prosperity is directly from God.
               Gen. 39:3, 23;  II Chron. 26:5;  Psalm 122:6,7
B. For some Prosperity is the result of doing things right.  Obedience brings blessing.
               Deut. 29:9;  Josh. 1:7,8;  9-30 I Kings 2:3;  I Chron. 22:11-13;   Dan. 6:28;  III John 2
C. For Some Prosperity is not possible because of sin, wrongdoing, and wrong attitudes or, etc.
               Num. 14:41;  Deut. 28:15-48 cf. v.29;  I Kings 22:8, 15-40 (truth hurts, sarcasm);10-7
               Prov. 28:13;  Jer.20:11;  Jer. 22:13-30;  Because of the sins of the fathers.  Ezek. 17:9-15
D. For Some prosperity is not allowed because of wrong use.
               Prov. 1:32;  or Pride Psalm 30:6
E. Prosperity is to be used for God.
               I Chron. 22:11;  I Cor. 16:2,3;  Eph. 4:28;  Luke 18:22
F. God has given us money and possessions:

  1. To provide basic needs. I Tim. 6:8; Matt. 6:24-34
  2. To confirm direction. Psalm 37:7
  3. To give to Christians. Rom. 12:13
  4. To illustrate God�s power. Mal. 3:10-12

Conclusion: Prosperity and plenty are as much a test of our faith and obedience as persecution and poverty.
