DAVID’S KINGDOM COME                                         FBC-PC 9-14, 21-14 AM (two weeks)

Revelation 21:19-20:15

 I. THE BINDING OF SATAN - 19:19-21 then 20:1-3

A. The Person Bound

•              Dragon – fierce, cruel
•              Serpent – guile, deceiver
•              Devil – tempter, blasphemer
•              Satan – adversary of Christ and Christians

B. The Person’s Binding

             By a powerful angel more powerful than Michael perhaps Jude 9

Note his duties:

1. Lay hold,
2. Bind,
3. Cast,
4. Shut up,
5. Set a seal,
6. Loose after 1000 years

Length of his incarceration – 1000 years 6 times in vs.1-7

 II. METHODS OF INTERPRETATION

• Literal – pre-millennial – 1000 yr. earthly reign of Messiah
• Spiritual – A millennial – all promises spiritually fulfilled in church
• Mixed – Post millennial – mankind will get better

 III. KINGDOM PROMISES

II Sam. 7:14-17; Jer. 23:3-8; Isa. 35:10; 62:1-12; 65:17-25; 60-66;
Ezek. 40-44 Temple; 45-48 Land and Rule; Psa. 24:1-10;
Zech. 14:1-21; Joel 3; Amos 9:11-15; Obadiah

 IV. THE RESURRECTION AND REIGN OF THE SAINTS 20:4-6; 11:15

1. The N.T. Church saints will rule as Queen (wife) to the King v.4  II Sam. 7:14:14-17 then Amos 9:11-15
2. The O.T. saints will rule as Vice-regents to the King Duet 28:1,13; Matt. 19:28
3. The Kingdom Promised II Sam. 7:14-17; Amos 9:11-15; Jer. 23:5-8;
4. The unsaved of all ages are not raised until after the Kingdom age.
5. Order of resurrection – I Cor. 15:23,34; Luke 20:34-36; Dan. 12:1-3; John 5:28-9; No general resurrection
6. Priests or Kingdom of Priests – Rev. 1:5b; I Pet. 2:5-9 or Luke 22:29-30 disciples
